20 tips while creating while creating a Magazine style blog template

Magazine style is the most frequent using layout used in the blogs,specially in the news and teaching blogs.However,many of them do not stand on the definition of the magazine layout,as some features should be added in order to get the magazine layout.Hence,I'm sharing my views and tips in order to attain the desired design.

1. Make the post title bigger with serif-fonts.
2. Make the text colour prominent from background colour (for example:background is white and colour is grey or black).
3. Magazine style have more text,hence avoid to add extra images in buttons as icon.
4. Magazine style have more than 1 column,hence it is better to have 1 or two sidebar.
5. If you want to use slider then,make sure that it should be small,or else better do not use it.
6. The post showing at home page do not must not have bigger size,hence make them small.
7. As image will be small,so take a small part for every post in the home page.
8. Must add a search bar at header or below the header part.
9. The modern magazine designs do not have post summary in the home page,therefore it is your choice that you want to add the post summary in the home page or you just want to add title and image.
10. The text except the title,should be small.
11. Avoid to add animations in ever element.
12. Leave less spaces between the content,or else the design will be disturbed.
13. As I told that the magazine style templates have more text,means more posts.So it is better to have a drop down menu instead of simple navigation to have more access to pages.
14. Add related post section in the post to engage visitors to read more articles.
15. Use threaded comments,because sometimes the discussion may enlarge.
16. Use sharing buttons,as reader sometimes want to share any post or article.
17. As magazine style templates have lots of text and images on one page,therefore minimize the page loading time.
18. Sometimes the pages of magazine style have a lot of content that the page become too much long,hence to avoid difficulty for mobile users,add a back to top button.
19. Better to use multiple tabs to use the space efficiently.
20. Use of Masonry layout will surely help to make post small and use the space efficiently.
